Anna’s big black boots are something she is very proud of. She draws them with thick heels and criss cross designer leggings. I remember Anna running and jumping in her black boots during play time allows her to show off these fancy boots her mom bought for her.

Blue Satin Dresses – Favorite Things

Our World: Correcting the Perspective

One goal I strive to achieve in my paintings is broadening perspectives through presenting correct images of the world and the images around us. One such image that reflects an accurate perspective of the world is the Peters Projection Map at www.odtmaps.com. This map gives the most accurate size of each continent’s land mass. As I began painting this map, I added Tibet’s borders and integrated cool and warm colors emphasizing the temperature of each continent. Thus, I call this piece Our World” Correcting the Perspective.”

Scrolling Along Trio

Abstract art gives opportunities for expression of unique designs on canvas. Unique because it is something that does not have to make sense, but allows the abstract artist to express beauty in an authentic way. Abstract art gives us a chance to escape into the extraordinary, the bold, the beautiful, those exciting imaginations beyond simplicity and what we define as exquisite. It reminds me of the beautiful designs I created in cake decorating classes.

The problem with seeing these beautiful scroll designs on cakes is once you eat the cake, the beautiful scrolled icing on the side of the cake is gone. I decided to make my own scrolls on my own decorated cakes. So; I went out and bought a bag of scroll imprints to imprint on the side of my cakes. I so enjoyed tracing those scroll imprints with my bag of icing. Oh, how elegant the scrolls looked when I finished decorating my cakes. Scrolling brings such a fun, elegant and classic feel to decorating anything. I loved the exquisite scrolls I had seen on cakes and wanted to capture that in paintings. That’s exactly what I did in this three part abstract painting. Thus, I call it Scrolling Along Trio of three abstract paintings. Each piece is 12″ by 12″. $250.00

Here Come the Seagulls!

Simple seascapes and seagulls is the inspiration here. A child excited about watching a gull come flying into shore were my thoughts when painting this canvas. It is a simple and warm oil painting for the lover and collector of gulls or seascapes.

A note on the bird in this painting: Gulls are typically medium to large birds, usually grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They may have somewhat harsh wailing or squawking calls. They have stout, longish bills, and webbed feet. Wikipedia states they range in size from the Little Gull, at 120 g (4.2 oz) and 29 cm (11.5 inches), to the Great Black-backed Gull, at 1.75 kg (3.8 lbs) and 76 cm (30 inches). $105.00
