]]> Simple seascapes and seagulls is the inspiration here. A child excited about watching a gull come flying into shore were my thoughts when painting this canvas. It is a simple and warm oil painting for the lover and collector of gulls or seascapes.

A note on the bird in this painting: Gulls are typically medium to large birds, usually grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They may have somewhat harsh wailing or squawking calls. They have stout, longish bills, and webbed feet. Wikipedia states they range in size from the Little Gull, at 120 g (4.2 oz) and 29 cm (11.5 inches), to the Great Black-backed Gull, at 1.75 kg (3.8 lbs) and 76 cm (30 inches). $105.00

]]> Birds such as cranes have a beauty in their own class. I consider cranes to be some of the most beautiful, exotic birds in existence, some having what I call their own crowning glory. The gray crowned crane has a beautiful golden crown. It happens to be the national bird of Uganda. Thus, I call this piece Ugandan Glory. $400.00
